Hans Günther was born on 04.09.1976 in Eschweiler. He had contact with horses from an early age because of his parents' farm. He did not start riding until he was 10 years old. Two years later, his parents acquired the Oldenburg stallion Wicky. With him Hansi collected innumerable successes in A and L jumping. During this time, the Holstein gelding Silberdream came to the stable. With this talent he rode from yellow ribbon in style-A jumping, to victories in international Grand Prix. In 1993, the father Achim acquired the horses Alistro and Talan from an Austrian horse dealer. With them Hans Günther was appointed to the junior federal squad. With Talan he also represented for the first time in 1995 the German colors in a Nations Cup and at the European Championships for Young Riders.

In 1997, Hansi moved to Warendorf with his four-legged partners and completed his training as a trainer at the DOKR. Then he still did his military service with the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr. The breakthrough on international ground, Hansi should celebrate with the DSP Wallach Debu. Twice they became German champions in the Young Riders, participated in two European Championships, won international Grand Prix and were eleven times a member of the German team in Nations Cups. Debue was dismissed into well-deserved retirement at the age of 19, after winning a 3 * S show and enjoying great health.

Hansi successfully concentrated himself to the training of young horses and the preparation for the big sport. For example, he won the Niedersachsen championship with Wafel De Meia Lua and was third in the Grand Prix of Kapellen and second in Bethune with Carlanda. The stallions Georgenhof Lausejunge and Limonchello NT were also under his saddle. Both were or are internationally successful with their current riders and could convince with very nice rounds at the CHIO in Aachen.

In 2012, Hans Günther settled in beautiful Bavaria. Again, he grounded very fast and so he managed in the same year a second place in the Grand Prix of Nördlingen and a third place in the final of the Bavarian Championships. In 2015 and '16 he was victorious in the Grand Prix of Küps and many other successes. In 2014 Hansi took over the training from Simone. And with great success, Hans Günther has managed as a coach, Simone to the first German woman world champion in Tryon 2018. His great empathy with rider and horse, his perfectionism, his knowledge, his talent as motivator and supporter and his enormous diligence have given him a great name as a coach after this great success.
