Born in Zolling, near Munich, Simones equestrian sports career began with her pony Jackie at a young age. Soon thereafter Lady Green, a beautiful Welsh B pony, moved in with the Blum family and gave Simone the first successes in show jumping up to class E and dressage up to grade A. Forstbachhof's Byron, a Welsh C pony stallion, let Simone check out the bush rider scene. But after jumping pony Brando came into the stable, it was clear for Simone that she wants to be show jumper. The last pony was Rivo, a talented pony, Simone and him garnered great success at national as well as international pony tournaments and in 2004 celebrated 4th place at the European Pony Championships in Jaskowo, Poland. The South German indoor champion title in 2005 rounded off a beautiful pony time and Simones ponies found new owners.

Simone already rode horse beside the ponies, the transition was not too difficult for her and the successes came very fast . The Holsteiner mare Kim gave Simone the 1st S-victory of her riding career in 2006 and further victories followed. With the Kolibri offspring Kasandro Simone could gain experience in the S ** and S *** - area and with the achieved wins and placement to S *** she was able to meet the requirements in 2008 to obtain the golden riding badge. At the Bavarian Championships in München-Riem she was awarded the riding badge in gold in the same year. In the following years, Sam, Cash and Flying Boy were the faithful companions for Simone. Cash was given by Jürgen Kraus, after he has given up riding, and Simone enabled the participation in a Nations Cup in Bratislava in the senior camp and in addition to many great victories and placings Simone could make his first experiences with him at the German Championships in Balve. Sam and Flying Boy were both able to win the Bavarian championship title to Zolling, catching up to several national and international victories and placements. Flying Boy won several national and international GP up to 1.50 m and in 2015 they won the silver medal at the German Championships in Balve.

But 2014 should be Simones lucky year. Because DSP Alice moved in the stable of family Blum. The very sensitive but highly talented chestnut mare conquered Simones heart right from the start and galloped with her from success to success. Quickly she showed her enormous bounce, her carefulness and her intelligence. In 2016, she and Simone had their biggest success so far in her riding career, the victory in both competitions for the German Championships in Balve and grab the title "German Champion 2016". The victory in the Grand Prix of Donaueschingen / Immenhöfe 1.50 m and the 2nd place in the Grand Prix of Val Gardena 1.55m were great successes in 2016. She really deserves the name "miracle Mare”. Beside her riding career 2016 was very eventful for Simone. After graduating from high school in 2008, she started studying at the Technical University of Munich in 2009. She graduated 2016 with the Master of Education in Biology and Chemistry.

But riding is Simones Passion and so she makes her dream to be come true on their own stable. And it should have been worth it! In March she started her own business with her husband Hans-Günther on the parental riding trail. In July 2018 Simone won the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup in Aachen with Alice and the German team and was then nominated for the German team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon 2018. There she and Alice won the bronze medal with the German team and won the gold medal in the individual competition, the world championship title, a milestone of a young career!!!
